Dive into the world of April Carr’s dynamic pourings. This collection captures the mesmerizing tension between control and surrender, transforming liquid acrylics into permanent, breathtaking landscapes of the subconscious.

Artist Statement
April Carr is a self-taught fluid artist and the creator behind Joyful Pouring by April. What began as a therapeutic outlet alongside her work as a nurse has grown into a vibrant artistic practice rooted in color, movement, and joy.
Having grown up in an artist’s home, April has always been drawn to the way colors interact and evoke emotion. She discovered fluid art while exploring different creative paths and was immediately captivated by both its expressive freedom and the science behind it. Her work highlights the natural flow of paint, embracing both intention and spontaneity to create one-of-a-kind pieces.
April works primarily with acrylics and mixed media, continuously experimenting with new techniques and color combinations. Through her art, she hopes to share a sense of calm, curiosity, and joy with her community. She also shares her creative process on social media and YouTube, and can be seen live painting on ECAT on her show, Joyful Pouring by April.
April lives in Easton with her husband, Kevin, their three children, and two dogs.

Artist Statement
Pastel Artist
Welcome to my inner world! I love creating peace, exploring nuance, and using vibrant color. When I land on the right value and hue, all my stress releases and tranquility glides across the page. My paintings live impatiently inside me and only relocate to paper when I can get them just right."
Katherine Ann Mahoney's inspiration comes from her two daughters and scenes from every day life and travel. Her process of creating soft pastel art involves an unhurried observation of the subject. Through her process, every detail: form, light, shadow, color, tone, texture, and composition are studied and then translated to convey the mood and feeling of the subject to the viewer.
Katherine sits on the Board of the Central Mass Pastel Society and is a member of the Pastel Society of America, the Dedham Art Association, and the Foxboro Art Association.
