April Carr
Joyful Pouring
Exhibit Ends August 31

April Carr is a self-taught fluid artist and the creator behind Joyful Pouring by April. What began as a therapeutic outlet alongside her work as a nurse has grown into a vibrant artistic practice rooted in color, movement, and joy.
Having grown up in an artist’s home, April has always been drawn to the way colors interact and evoke emotion. She discovered fluid art while exploring different creative paths and was immediately captivated by both its expressive freedom and the science behind it.
Adrian Negenborn
Active Silence
Exhibit Ends September 17
Adrian Negenborn is an artist living and working in Massachussetts. He received his MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2010. His work has been exhibited in Boston, MA; Miami, FL; Provincetown, MA; and New York, NY.

"My paintings are as much about the immediacy of the moment in which they’re made as they are about the materials that shape them. Explosive, physical painting actions collide with atmospheric, airbrushed spaces, creating a visual tension that mirrors the act of making. The paint exists both as a record of time and as an image—a residue of movement, energy, and decision. Each work is a negotiation between opposing forces: harmony and disharmony, chaos and order, spontaneity and control. The most successful paintings are those that hold these tensions in balance, capturing a fleeting but resonant equilibrium. In this way, the process becomes inseparable from the outcome—each mark a reflection of presence, pressure, and perception. ."

UPCOMING EVENT
Bailey’s Team for Autism is a regional non-profit organization that strives to provide resources and support to people living with autism and their families. The non-profit raises money to fund projects with a focus on programming, education, and research.
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability impacting 1 in every 31 children. It can present itself and impact someone in a variety of different ways, but most commonly impacts communication, social skills, and self-regulation. It’s important to value autistic voices in the conversation about autism by understanding and uplifting them. It is very important to empower and provide support to those with autism.
This year, Bailey’s Team will host its 7th annual Art Show, featuring art from 14 different artists who are all on the autism spectrum. Bailey’s Team originally started showcasing art in 2014 at their annual wine tasting, another event run by the non-profit. Due to the popularity of the art displayed at this event, a separate event was introduced in 2020 solely for the purpose to celebrate artists on the autism spectrum by featuring their artistic individuality and compensating them in part while raising funds for Bailey’s Team. Celebrating Art & Autism continues to be held annually with each artist displaying 4 pieces this year which will be part of an on-line auction. Please join us at our reception on September 25th to support these amazing artists!

Daniel Lane is a new artist to Bailey’s Team. Daniel is a 30-year-old man with autism living in Cape Cod. He attended high school at Riverview School, and in 2022, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bridgewater State University (BSU) with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and minor in art history.
Daniel’s work often explores themes of nature, emotion, and abstract concepts. His interests and experiences shape his artwork. He enjoys focusing on landscapes and commentary art themes which are often sparked by his hobbies of video games, hiking, and swimming on Cape Cod.

Emily Kirstein is a highly creative 33-year-old who enjoys a variety of expressive activities including writing, cooking, singing, and making art. She favors painting with acrylics on canvas, though she has worked in other mediums.
Em enjoys community outings in her day program Chai Works, which she attends part-time. She also takes pride in her two volunteer positions at a toy store and a thrift shop. There, she prices, restocks, and organizes items. In her free time, she likes to swim, swing, and watch cooking shows.

Rachel Rasnick is an artist from Rhode Island. She started painting a few years ago as part of a program called Studio57 at Looking Upwards RI, a program for adults with disabilities. She fell in love with painting and has been encouraged by many people to continue and share her work with others.
Her paintings make people happy and sell so quickly that she can’t keep up with demand. This is why she has decided to create a series of prints so more people can enjoy them!
